Almost, but not quite!

So, I totally thought I was going to have a baby Wednesday night. The signs were all there. All day long I was uncomfortable with lots of pain in my lower abs and back and even down my legs. That night contractions were 5 minutes apart for two hours, but never painful. So I went to bed thinking I should try to rest while I can, but then morning came and nothing. I felt fine again. I went to my week check up and I'm at a 3 and my doctor said I can go at any time. Don't they always say that when your 38 weeks? The more I do the more contractions I have, which is great, but my wonderful mother in law arrives Thursday so I'm trying to ease up a bit to make it closer to when she comes. I'm hoping to hold him in for a few more days at least and then I might get walking, cleaning, shopping, etc. to get things going. The reality of having to go into labor and delivering this baby is coming and I'm not looking forward to it.

Dear Baby Boy Jacobsen,

You know, there's really no hurry to arrive here. The lights are bright, the sounds are loud, it's hot and cold, and don't even get me started about gravity. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Why don't you just settle back and enjoy the security of your mommy's belly... at least until your gramma gets there later this week?

Love,
Aunt K

p.s. Some false labor would be good on Sunday, though, if it gets your mommy out of speaking in church!

Yeah, I do not envy you the labor and delivery part but I bet you will be glad once the baby is actually out!

Hope everything goes well until grandma arrives!

I hear you Chrissy! I knew things were really happenning with Andrew when, Mon. morning, I started having the painful "menstrual cramp-like" contractions that went to my lower back, and sure enough, he was born that evening! If your labor ends up being as fast as mine, I would say that not having an epidural was a blessing. I have felt so great and bounced (not literally ;') back much faster that with my other two (I did have an eipdural with them)!
You're in our prayers! Love you!

wow chrissy. it is going to be anytime. you can do it. remember it can't be that bad we have 2 already and for some reason we keep going. it seems like we don't remember the crazy hard things until we can't turn back. good luck, you are my inspiration for the next few weeks. if you can do it, hopefully i will be able to as well.
