Good Bye to Cinder Blocks!

The day has finally come. We are leaving the cinder blocks behind! We are officially done with school! Tomorrow is the big day! I leave with the kids and Eric's mom on the plane and Eric and his dad head out in the car. I am very excited to be moving near family, friends and cheaper rent. (FYI, we will be living in Oregon City.) It's so hard to believe our two years in New York and six years on the East Coast are over. We have loved living out here and have met the best people. Hopefully some will make their way to Oregon for a visit. We really have had some great times and so many wonderful memories in New York. I am surprisingly going to miss it.

Here are some favorite highlights of these last two years!

HOORAY FOR DR. ERIC!

He did it! After 10 years of college, he's finally finished! We are so proud of him! On Friday we attended his graduation ceremony where he received his certificate of pediatric dentistry. We were so proud of him!

Eric with his fellow residents. They are all great people.

Of course, one of our kids had to steal a little of Dad's spotlight. Ella put on a ballet recital when she notice the mirror across the room.

Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

We finally made it to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island with the girls. I told myself we couldn't move until we did this. Although they are too little to understand the meaning behind both places, they both had a great time. As you can see from the last picture, Tyler was thrilled too!

30 and doing fine!

Well, today's the day. I am officially 30. I really don't have a problem with being 30 as to 29, but it's just weird to say. 30. I remember when my parents were in their 30s and now here I am. I think having three kids makes turning 30 not as big of deal. Whenever someone asks if Tyler is my first and I tell them my third, I'm not feeling very youthful.

30 is good. Looking back on my 20s, although wonderful in many, many ways, 20s are hard! Get though college, get married, first real job, start a family, husband still in school with a family, it's tough. Plus mine had a few more downs than most when I lost my mom and brother. So I'm ready to be 30.

So far 30 is filled with anticipation. We are moving in about two weeks and as of today I think it will be Oregon. (Long story, don't ask!) My wonderful husband who has worked so hard will finally start this career of his. My kids are getting big so fast. My 30s will be all about watching them grow and building strong relationships with them. And we can't forget to mention, my apartment days will soon be over!!

30 is going to be great!

Smiles!

Ty is offically smiling! I've been trying my best to capture it, at first he was quick to give them out and then just stare at you, but now they last a few more minutes. This makes being up at 2am and 4am a little less hard!

Life is Good!

So far so good! Tyler continues to be a dream baby and just so laid back and mellow! He loves to cuddle and stare at pictures and mirrors on the walls. The girls think the world of him too. Ella was holding him the other day and said, "It's so great that we got such a cute baby!" And when Chloe holds him she says in a nervous giggle, "You're so cute, you're so cute, you're so cute!" I just melt!

The moving plans are coming at us fast and we are trying to get things organized. Eric has taken an associateship position outside of Portland and we are currently on the hunt for a rental house, moving company, and car shipper. I fly out with the kids and Grandma on June 30th and Eric and his dad will be driving back with the second car. It's going to be a crazy month! I know I should be doing something at all times, but then I have this cute little boy who wants to snuggle and two silly girls who love to be outside. It will be interesting to see how I get though all of this!

Here are some recent pictures of the kids. We made our last all day Central Park outing on Memorial Day. I just love that place! I could roam around all day long. It is just beautiful!

Picnic in the park. Love those hot dogs!
Tyler loves to sit in the Boppy. We call it his nest.
Five weeks old already!!
