GO DAD GO!!!
Last weekend we cheered Eric and his brother Brian in the Yakima River Canyon Marathon. This was Eric's second marathon and Brian's first. With all six kids, we cheered them well in our matching t-shirts. The boys are now the famous Team Jacobsen. It was a lot of fun to see Eric complete this goal he's worked so hard towards. He trains at night after the kids are down and fulfilled his promise to not lose any weight. Exercise has been nonexistent in Eric's life since the day he ran in his last marathon in 2001! I think this time around he won't be taking an eight year absence. He is now looking for the next one to run in this summer. It has become his new hobby. With running apps on his iPhone and Runner's World in our mailbox, I think it's pretty serious. Way to go Eric and Brian!

Good for Eric. I thought that he once said that he would never do this again. It's a good thing that he is still motivated. Cute shirts.
How I love my wonderful daughter-in-laws who support their husbands when they get crazy ideas. I think the medals should go to Chrissy and Laura who entertained 6 children for several hours and drove most of the way home, too!!! You are both awesome women, wives, and mothers!!!
I love the kids shirts, so adorable! Go Eric!
Hey, that's my neck of the woods! I grew up in Yakima.
Way to go Team Jacobsen!
Wow good job Eric. I love the team shirts. They are great.
Hi Chrissy, you are updating your blog about as often as I am!...:o)
Talk to you later!
Hi, I'm a little late but congratulations Eric, and that cracks me up that he made sure NOT to lose weight! Isn't it sad that our husbands had to sacrifice so much to get through dental school, including exercise? Carson is now running again too, for the first time since he got hit by a car st the Y in 1998. I love the shirts and how he ran with his brother!
