Almost, but not quite!

So, I totally thought I was going to have a baby Wednesday night. The signs were all there. All day long I was uncomfortable with lots of pain in my lower abs and back and even down my legs. That night contractions were 5 minutes apart for two hours, but never painful. So I went to bed thinking I should try to rest while I can, but then morning came and nothing. I felt fine again. I went to my week check up and I'm at a 3 and my doctor said I can go at any time. Don't they always say that when your 38 weeks? The more I do the more contractions I have, which is great, but my wonderful mother in law arrives Thursday so I'm trying to ease up a bit to make it closer to when she comes. I'm hoping to hold him in for a few more days at least and then I might get walking, cleaning, shopping, etc. to get things going. The reality of having to go into labor and delivering this baby is coming and I'm not looking forward to it.

Horray For New Episodes!

The Office is back tonight and it looks hilarious! I thought I'd share a fun picture that my brother took while he was visiting us. We were in Little Italy waiting for a table and then my sister-in-law said, "There's Jim from The Office!" Lucky for us, he had to wait to cross the street and my brother got a quick picture. Other people noticed and we kept hearing, "There's Jim!" It wasn't until my brother got home and looked at the picture on his computer that he noticed someone else in the picture! It was Karen!

They're Back!

Did any of you catch the big announcement? The New Kids are back! I caught them on the Today show announcing their return and reunion album/tour, and I was shocked by the screaming fans. The women were my age or older! Now, I was a huge fan around the fourth and fifth grade. They were my Hannah Montana/High School Musical of that day. My whole room was decorated in posters, buttons, trading cards, and cut out pages of Tiger Beat. I so remember my closet door which held my prize possession, the Joey McIntyre poster. Oh, my heart! I clearly recall my dad coming into my room after work with the Hangin' Tough cassette that I had begged him for! What a great dad! A few years later, when Eric and I first started dating I got razzed by his older brother who had seen my room at this time when he hung out with my older brother. It took a while to redeem myself.

So with all the love I had for them in the past, it didn't hold up after all these years. Sad, but true. I have no desire for a new album or seeing them in concert. Lots of bands have formed reunion tours and have done well. I would think The New Kids wouldn't have a chance in filling the seats now days, but seeing the women yesterday, I might be wrong. Any of you willing to admit your love and excitement?!
