The Calm Before the Storm

Now that the holidays are over we are back to our everyday routine, which for blogging purposes isn't that exciting. But this month I think of it as my time to get prepared for the storm of change that is on the way. Problem is, there's too much to do so I get overwhelmed and do nothing! Helpful, right? I have visions of me organizing closets, packing things in storage that we won't use, cleaning out cupboards of things I don't want anymore, but then when it comes time to actually doing it, I get lost in the decision or too tired to get started. I'm not sure how everyone else is, but for me to organize I have to have a clean place to do it. That's has caused some of the problem. If I'm on the ball and actually clean my house or my kitchen is nice and neat, the last thing I want to do is mess it up again! So, I have become a lister! I list things that need to be done between now and April. Hopefully one day soon the nesting will kick in and I'll get something done!

AMEN! I relate with you completely! I love the title to this entry.....it truly is that way. Last night I talked with a friend of mine who had a 3rd baby (all girls now) mid-Dec. and now that her parents are leaving, she's wondering how she will get anything done or have time to do some things she would like (ie. scrapbooking). It actually scared me and now I'm thinking, 'Yeah, you don't have much time left where you can just go run errands. I don't think I'll be doing any shopping with three kids in tow....I'll save that for the weekend and/or evenings. Well, I would like to get some meals prepared and in the freezer before hand. We've decided on names for the baby:
Girl - Claire Noelle
Boy - Andrew Cole
If those don't work, we'll have to think of others soon!

Nice job on the names! That's way ahead from where we are in that matter. Love both of your choices!

I do like the names. Already thought of nicknames too!

BTW, Have you ever thought of Epesi (for the boy)? It is Swahili for "light, fast, swift, quick...." etc. No? Oh well.

Love, dad

Thus, an episiotomy makes a delivery "light, fast, swift, and quick"? You medical-types are pretty wacky! :-)
