Sunday was not only Father's Day, but it was also our wedding anniversary! Last weekend we celebrated by seeing the Broadway show Curtains, (which was so fabulous)and Eric brought home some very yummy cupcakes from Buttercup Bakery. He never disappoints! For my 18th birthday he took me to the Broadway touring of Beauty and the Beast in Portland, OR and now eleven years later we celebrated on actual Broadway. This got me thinking about all the years we've been together so here's our relationship by the numbers.
- 7 years married
- 13 years since our first date
- 24 years since we first met (Wow!)
- 2 kids
- 4 apartments
- 3 states
- 4 different school programs/degrees
- 4 Broadway shows together
- Too many sweet treats to number!
One of my favorite gifts from our wedding is an anniversary book given to us by my sister-in-law. You fill in each year's details and place a picture from that year. It's so fun to see the changes to the family. It's amazing to me how much we have been through, seen and done in these past seven years. He has given me a life that I have always dreamed of living! I'm so glad my 16 year old instincts were correct! I'm the luckiest girl! I love you!!

You are so cute!!! I love the timeline...Happy Anniversary!
Congrats! I enjoyed your list, very neat. You are a great couple!
Hey Eric remember how the Bears got killed in the superbowl.
Oden should be interesting.
Hey Chad (I'm assuming it's Chad not Katie. Katie probably has something better to do like take care of a 1 week old than to harrass me) remember how San Diego didn't make it to the Super Bowl. 29-17, not that bad considering we have the worst QB in NFL history. Oden makes me want to move to Portland. We could be best friends.
i clicked on this to make a comment about what a sweet couple you guys are and i find that i have instead already written a trash-talking comment about the super bowl? sorry, eric! i didn't know chad even knew my login!
Well, aside from football talk, Happy Anniversary! Amazing how fast time flies by. Hope it flies even faster so Eric's dream of moving to Portland comes true ;)
My gosh, I can't believe how time flies! Maren was just a little baby playing with the balloons at your reception, and now she's finishing second grade! Our anniv. is on the 29th...11 years, baby! I wish our "Before" and "After" pictures looked as good as yours! love ya!
Love your blog Chrissy! Happy Anniversary!
Congrats! You two have known each other a long time - what a great story!
When I first looked at that first picture of the 2 of you, I thought it was a recent picture - you've hardly aged at all! Congratulations and I loved the post about summer in WA with your grandparents, Wild Waves and everything, it totally reminds me of being a kid here!
