"Excuse me boys!"

Those were the words I heard Ella yelling out our window to our next door neighbor's house, where two eight year old boys were playing. She and Chloe stood at the window for quite a while watching them play and trying to talk to them. She showed them her necklace, brought out toys from her room to show them, and finally got her chair and set it up so she could sit and visit! They were nice to her and I made sure nothing was being said that shouldn't be. For the most part, they kept playing and only said a few things back, like "Yes, that's a nice necklace." I just kept thinking this is just the beginning of boys in our life. Eric is holding on to the hope that they won't marry until well into their 30s and might even just want to live with Dad forever!
