Happy Birthday to Tyler!

(Pictures are from newborn and each month following. Last three pictures are all 12 months pics.)
My baby turned one on April 27th. I've had a hard time coming to terms with this. He still doesn't walk or talk. He just started sleeping through the night about a month ago and he loves to cuddle. To me is he still a little baby. So much is different a year later. Much of it is a blur to my ever fading memory, but he has been fun from the very beginning. Besides not sleeping through the night for the longest time, this kid is pretty terrific. I could just snuggle with him and his cheeks all day if I could. He is officially 21 lbs and got his carseat turned around, which he thinks is cool, but fusses more because he can see me now. He loves, loves, loves his sisters and tries his hardest to follow them around the house. He has been returned to me only once wearing a headband from Chloe, but his future holds many dress up sessions once he stops eating the clothes. What more can I say...we just love this little guy!

Tooth Fairy visits!

Poor Ella has been waiting and waiting to lose a tooth. For the longest time she didn't have one that was even loose. She even started to get her new teeth in without even bothering her baby ones. It was pretty crowded in that mouth of hers. It's a good thing Eric has some ortho connections, this girl will definitely need some braces! Dr. Dad decided to "wiggle" them out at the office. Ella was so excited! She couldn't wait to have them out and have the tooth fairy come. We put Dad's skills to the test and he proved himself, she giggled while watching Dora the entire time. She still thinks he just wiggled them out. She looks so much older to me without her baby teeth.

Happy Easter!

Got a little behind on my posts. For journaling purposes and since I no longer remember how to scrapbook or even print pictures for that matter, I'll post old news anyways.
We spent Easter at the coast with FAMILY! Whoa... a holiday with family? It's pretty great to be able to finally do that! We had a great time even though it poured down rain the entire time.

Go Team Jacobsen!

GO DAD GO!!!
Last weekend we cheered Eric and his brother Brian in the Yakima River Canyon Marathon. This was Eric's second marathon and Brian's first. With all six kids, we cheered them well in our matching t-shirts. The boys are now the famous Team Jacobsen. It was a lot of fun to see Eric complete this goal he's worked so hard towards. He trains at night after the kids are down and fulfilled his promise to not lose any weight. Exercise has been nonexistent in Eric's life since the day he ran in his last marathon in 2001! I think this time around he won't be taking an eight year absence. He is now looking for the next one to run in this summer. It has become his new hobby. With running apps on his iPhone and Runner's World in our mailbox, I think it's pretty serious. Way to go Eric and Brian!

Spring Break '09

With Eric having a busy week at work during Spring Break, I decided to venture to the coast to visit with the grandparents for a few days. The weather was a little gray, but not a complete rainfest. We were still able to visit the beach and see some sites. I love how you have the beach to yourself around here. The attire is a bit different than other beaches too. It was a quick trip, but always fun to see some family!

The beautiful dune grass.

A statue in honor of William Clark. (Lewis & Clark are big around here. This is of a sketch he drew while in the area.)

Merry-go-round always a hit.

What is in the glass? Why it's Jake the Alligator Man at Marsh's Free Museum! It's the tourist hot spot of Long Beach, Washington. He's even been in National Enquire. The girls LOVE this place and spend all their money on useless treasures they can't live without. (Note junk in hands)
